Hola! My name is Carolina (care-oh-LEE-nuh). I am an Atlanta-based photo editor, photographer, and photo retoucher.

My career began in my hometown of Lima, Peru where I worked as a freelance photographer, retoucher, and archivist, and later taught digital photography and Photoshop at Centro de la Fotografía (now Centro de la Imagen).

I moved to Atlanta in 2007 and, after working for several years in fine art printing, joined Turner Broadcasting (now WarnerMedia) as a library assistant. Soon, I transitioned to the digital production team as a retoucher and digital tech, and, after that, as a photo editor overseeing CNN’s photography needs for marketing, PR, and social media.

In 2018, I switched gears to the nonprofit world, and joined Habitat for Humanity International as their photo editor.

I'm passionate about the collaborative environment of creative production - and somewhat obsessive about efficient workflows - always looking for compelling and sensible ways to tell visual stories.

Outside of work, my interests center around music, food, art, travel, and the constant search for good stories and the best boiled peanuts in the south. I live in Atlanta's historic Old Fourth Ward neighborhood with my partner, Jarrett, and our very cute dog, Mikey.
